How Are We Different?

YourChoice Direct Care operates as a Direct Primary Care practice. It’s a new approach to medicine. So, how is it different?


Fewer Patients

Did you know that most Primary Care Physicians have between 2,500-3,500 patients? Our physicians will limit their practice to 1,000 patients per physician. This means that they can spend more time with you when you need them. It also means that when they are not actively seeing a patient, they are able to coordinate your care and research the latest advances in treatments. Your well-being is our priority, and the reason for why we do what we do.


Insurance Free Practice

YourChoice Direct Care does not accept insurance so you won’t have a middle-man in your primary care. Decisions about your healthcare will be made by you and your physician, without the impersonal management that inevitably comes from third-party payers. Instead, patients pay a low monthly membership fee which can save money and lead to better treatment.

Although YourChoice Direct Care does not accept insurance, our practice is a part of the Liberty Direct HealthSharing network. Liberty Direct is an alternative to health insurance provided and administered by Liberty HealthShare.  If you are a current member of Liberty Direct and want to become a patient at YourChoice Direct Care, sign up below.

Membership Fees

YourChoice Direct Care has established a straight-forward, tiered payment solution for our patients to receive high-quality healthcare at affordable prices. A detailed list of member fees and procedure costs is available here.

YourChoice Direct Care offers 10% discounts to spouses and offers two months free to those members who pay annually.

Also, ask about our “Snowbird” and “Away College Student” specials – receive one half off for those months that you are living outside of Michigan (annual memberships only).

Please note Dr. Savage only sees patients 18 and older.

The Benefits of YourChoice Direct Care

At YourChoice Direct Care, we have an in-house pharmacy with deeply discounted rates on most common generic medications.

We have negotiated wholesale labs, imaging and certain procedure prices for those that are not performed in our office. Those savings are passed directly on to our patients. Don’t be scared of a high deductible. At YourChoice, access to wholesale prices on imaging, labs and certain procedures makes it unlikely that you’ll even come close to hitting your deductible.

There’s no bad time to receive excellent medical care. Without the third party restrictions of how doctors are reimbursed, you can now access your doctor by email, text messaging, direct phone calls or even video conferencing. At YourChoice, the doctor is “in.”

When the doctors work for you, you know their hearts are true. No need to worry about the conflicts of interest created by the third-party payer system where the doctor can be paid more by caring for you less.

A smaller patient census means more time with your doctor and better access to care. You won’t feel rushed through an appointment. You’ll have a better understanding of your care. That’s what we call personalized healthcare.

Designed around you, the doctor’s attention is more fully focused on you without the unnecessarily complex documentation required by third party payers.

Because we have reserved our time for a smaller panel of patients, there will be no “squeezing you in.” You are a priority, and you’ll feel like one. We will do everything in our power to get you into the office the same day or next day when you need care.

When coupled with low cost insurance, we aim to keep more money in your pocket. We want to work for you, not insurance companies. So much is covered by a YourChoice membership that less expensive insurance means more money stays where it belongs. With you.
