I have been a registered nurse for 35 years and am a strong supporter of the Direct Primary Care model. Friends and family are surprised when they hear that our primary care practice is over an hour away from our home, as if the distance would limit our access to care. On the contrary! My husband and I schedule our yearly wellness visit and make a morning of it. Everything is a one-stop-shop with our visit and annual lab work. We benefit from a comprehensive, unrushed, wellness visit, where all of our wellness goals, concerns and questions are thoroughly addressed with each of our providers (Nikki, NP & Dr. Savage). Being an RN with an extensive background in quality improvement, I know quality when I see it.
Recently, I had an urgent need for care and would not have wanted to make the drive to the office. No worries there! I texted Nikki and within 15 minutes, had a quality phone consultation with her where a plan of care was agreed upon, medication was prescribed, and daily touchpoints followed to assure that I was progressing well. We have never experienced that level of care at a traditional PCP practice. We are very thankful to have found Your Choice Direct Care and would highly recommend them to anyone.
